A houseboat with FAAY quality

The problem

At Bruinsma Bootwoningen the emphasis is on 'house' rather than 'boat'. The occupants of the houseboats they build have the same facilities and qualities as regular homes, except on water. The same applies for the internal walls. However, what were lacking were walls of high quality.

Products used

"FAAY is simply a better and cheaper product than a cavity wall"

The solution

Bruinsma Bootwoningen uses the 70 mm-thick VP70 units. These have a little more 'body' than the VP54, which is useful for jobs such as boxing wall sockets etc. Something that is always an advantage is speed of assembly. The extra man-hours you have to put into a cavity wall ultimately cost more than the material price of FAAY. Another more important benefit is the quality the walls offer the user throughout their life.
